Typical of winters in Amman is that, due to the height differences in the city, the center (at an altitude of 776 meters) can have rain, while it is snowing in the west of Amman at an altitude of about twelve hundred meters. is. Once every few years, Amman is ravaged by a blizzard in winter, which usually produces a snow cover of no less than half a meter in height. See abbreviations for Amman.
