The climate of Ashgabat

What is the capital of Turkmenistan? The capital Ashgabat (Aşgabat) is located in southern Turkmenistan, at the foot of the Kopet-Dag Mountains. The relatively young city, also written as Ashgabat, has a dry climate, with mild short winters and long warm summers. During the summer months, rain is a rarity and the sun shines exuberantly.
