The climate of Canberra

What is the capital of Australia? Canberra is the capital of Australia and is located in the Australian Capital Territory. This city grew out of the rivalry between Melbourne and Sydney: both claimed the title of the capital of Australia. When this was not resolved, Canberra was founded as a solution. There was even a real competition for the most beautiful city design. The result is a beautiful, spacious city, which has a rural feel due to the artificial lake in the middle. Canberra does not really have a metropolitan allure and has a more provincial feel. That makes a visit to this city very relaxed. Canberra is the center of power in Australia and therefore also has some beautiful buildings in the center. In the many restaurants it is good to relax. And although it seems deserted at night, the suburbs have a lively nightlife culture. Cabaret, music and theatre, there is something for everyone here. Canberra has a temperate maritime climate. Due to its slightly higher location than the cities on the coast, Canberra has greater temperature differences. It is one of the few cities where it can freeze in winter. Sometimes the thermometer even dips a few degrees below zero. Summers in Canberra are pleasant, with averages around 25°C. See abbreviations for Sydney.
