The climate of Kigali

What is the capital of Rwanda? Kigali is the capital of Rwanda, a country located in Central Africa. Kigali is located fairly centrally in the country, at an average altitude of 1600 meters. The lowest parts of the city, built mainly on hills, are at an altitude of about 1,300 meters above sea level. Kigali has the dubious honor of being known as the place where the Rwandan genocide began on April 6, 1994, in which an estimated one million Tutsis, as well as a number of Hutus, were killed by the Rwandan army and Hutu militias. This dark period in the history books of Rwanda will never be forgotten, but the local people don’t talk much about it these days.
