The climate of Kuala Lumpur

What is the capital of Malaysia? Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia and is located on the Malay Peninsula, on the Klang River. Kuala Lumpur is the second largest city in the country in terms of population. The city has an important regional and international function. The city also houses the Istana Negara, the official residence of the Malaysian king. At 451.9 meters, the Petronas Twin Towers are the landmarks of the city and are among the tallest buildings in the world. Kuala Lumpur is located in Lembah Klang, an area in the middle of Malacca. The Titiwangsa Mountains enclose the area on the north and the east side, the Strait of Malacca does this on the west. See abbreviations for Kuala Lumpur.

Kuala Lumpur has a tropical rainforest climate, which is heavily influenced by its sheltered location on the Titiwangsa Mountains. It is pleasantly warm and sunny here all year round, the only thing that can sometimes throw a spanner in the works is the high humidity. The monsoon period here officially lasts from October to March, but you can also expect heavy showers in the remaining months. The temperature is constant all year round and rainfall has little influence on this. Due to its sheltered location on the Titiwangsa Mountains, Kuala Lumpur is less affected by the inland winds.
