The climate of Nouakchott

What is the capital of Mauritania? Nouakchott is the capital of the West African country of Mauritania. Nouakchott has about a million inhabitants and consists almost entirely of low-rise buildings. Until the independence of Mauritania, Nouakchott was little more than a rather modest place, where fishing was the main source of income. From the seventies of the last century there is an enormous growth to the large city that Nouakchott is today.
