The climate of Thimphu

What is the capital of Bhutan? The city of Thimphu, located at an altitude of 2300 meters, is the capital of Bhutan. Thimphu is a relatively small and quiet capital, which actually has more of a village feel than that of a capital. Thimphu has a China climate with dry winters and relatively warm summers, in which the monsoon provides significant amounts of precipitation. With an average minimum temperature of 15 degrees and an average maximum temperature of over 26 degrees, the summer period (June to August) is warm. With about 5 to 6 hours of sunshine per day and about 20 rainy days per month, it is the wettest and darkest period of the year. In winter it is dry almost every day and the sun shines much more than in summer.
