History
More than 25 years of studies preceded the construction of the 5-kilometer-long highway. The route was already in the plans in 1959, but only started construction in 1987. The highway was finally opened in 1993.
Since the early 1970s, it has been proposed to extend the highway to Interstate 495 in Massachusetts near Bellingham, but there is little interest in the idea in Massachusetts in particular. The project is still in the plans of the Rhode Island Department of Transportation but is not concrete.
- LIUXERS: Offers FAFSA school codes for colleges and universities in Rhode Island. Also covers Federal schools for each school of the Rhode Island.
