According to wholevehicles, Albania is a small country located in the Western Balkans, on the Mediterranean coast of the Adriatic and Ionian Sea. It is bordered by Montenegro to the northwest, Kosovo to the northeast, North Macedonia to the east and Greece to the south and southeast. The country has a total land area of 28,748 square kilometers. The Albanian terrain is dominated by mountains, hills and plains. The highest peak in Albania is Mount Korab at 2,764 meters above sea level. Other notable peaks are Jezerca at 2,694 meters and Maja e Gjallica at 2,569 meters. The Albanian Alps stretch along its eastern border with Montenegro and North Macedonia. To the west lies a coastal plain that stretches along the Adriatic and Ionian Seas. This region consists of low-lying hills interspersed with lagoons and wetlands near its southern border with Greece near Lake Ohrid. Albania’s climate is generally Mediterranean with mild wet winters in its coastal areas while continental climates prevail in its inland regions. Summers are typically hot but can be quite humid due to high levels of precipitation during this season. Average temperatures range from 15°C (59°F) during winter months to 25°C (77°F) during summer months. Rainfall averages about 1,200 millimeters annually but can vary significantly across different regions of Albania due to its mountainous terrain which affects temperature and precipitation patterns significantly throughout the country’s interior valleys and plateaus. The country’s rivers are mainly located in its northern region where they form part of a larger drainage system that flows into both rivers Drin and Seman which eventually flow into Lake Shkodra – one of Europe’s largest lakes located on Albania’s northern border with Montenegro. In addition to these major waterways, there are numerous smaller streams such as Valbona River which flows through Northern Albania before emptying into Lake Ohrid on Albania’s southern border with Greece near Pogradec city.
