According to wholevehicles, Barbados is a small island nation located in the Caribbean Sea, off the eastern coast of Central America. It is the easternmost island in the Lesser Antilles chain and is situated some 166 km (103 mi) east of the Caribbean mainland. The island has an approximate area of 431 sq km (166 sq mi), with a coastline of 97 km (60 mi). The highest point on the island is Mount Hillaby, which rises to 340 m (1,115 ft). Barbados has a tropical climate with two distinct seasons: dry season from December to May and wet season from June to November. The average annual temperature range is between 23°C (73°F) and 29°C (85°F). The terrain of Barbados is mostly flat and low-lying, with a few hills in the interior. There are several rivers on the island that flow down from these hills into the sea. The western coast features several natural harbors and bays, while its eastern coast consists mainly of limestone cliffs and coral reefs. Offshore there are numerous small islands as well as coral reefs, providing excellent opportunities for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts.
