The highest peak is Maglic at 2,386 meters (7,828 feet). The Drina River forms one of its eastern borders with Serbia. This river and its tributaries have created a number of gorges that are popular tourist attractions. Bosnia also has a number of lakes including Bileca Lake in Herzegovina which is known for its crystal clear waters. The climate is continental with hot summers and cold winters.
