According to wholevehicles, Cambodia is a country located in Southeast Asia. It is bordered by Thailand to the northwest, Laos to the northeast, Vietnam to the east, and the Gulf of Thailand to the southwest. The country is divided into 25 provinces and one municipality, Phnom Penh. The terrain is mostly flat plains with mountains in the southwest and northeast. The Tonle Sap Lake is a major feature of Cambodia’s landscape, as it provides water for agricultural activities as well as being an important source of fish for local communities. The Mekong River runs through the country from north to south, providing access to many parts of Cambodia. The climate in Cambodia is tropical with two distinct seasons: wet and dry. The wet season lasts from May to October and sees heavy rainfall throughout most of the country. During this time temperatures are usually hot and humid with temperatures ranging between 20-35 degrees Celsius (68-95 degrees Fahrenheit). The dry season lasts from November to April and sees much less rainfall than during the wet season. Temperatures during this time are generally cooler with temperatures ranging between 20-30 degrees Celsius (68-86 degrees Fahrenheit). This time of year also sees periods of drought which can lead to food insecurity for many people living in rural areas across Cambodia. See bridgat for weather information in Cambodia.
