According to wholevehicles, Canada is a large country located in the northern part of North America, spanning from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. It is bordered by the United States of America to the south and northwest, and by three oceans: Hudson Bay to the northeast, Arctic Ocean to the north, and North Atlantic Ocean to the east. The total area of Canada is 9.98 million square kilometers, making it the second largest country in the world after Russia.

Canada is divided into 10 provinces and three territories. The provinces are Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and Saskatchewan. The three territories are Yukon Territory in western Canada; Northwest Territories in central Canada; and Nunavut in northern Canada. Each province has its own unique geographic features ranging from mountains and hills to plains and forests. The Rocky Mountains run through western Canada from British Columbia through Alberta into Yukon Territory while other mountain ranges can be found throughout much of Canada including the Appalachian Mountains which run through eastern Quebec into Newfoundland & Labrador as well as Northern Ontario’s Canadian Shield which covers much of central Canada. Canada also has a variety of rivers running through its many regions such as the Mackenzie River in Northwest Territories which is one of North America’s longest rivers at 4241 km long (2637 mi). Other major rivers include St Lawrence River which runs through Ontario & Quebec on its way to Lake Ontario; Fraser River in British Columbia; Nelson River in Manitoba; Yukon River in Yukon Territory; Saskatchewan River which runs from Alberta & Saskatchewan on its way to Lake Winnipeg; Athabasca River & Peace River both located within Alberta & British Columbia respectively; Saint John River located within New Brunswick & Nova Scotia; as well as many other smaller rivers running throughout various areas within Canada’s provinces & territories. In addition to rivers & mountainous regions there are also numerous lakes throughout Canada such as Lake Superior which lies between Ontario & Michigan (USA); Great Bear Lake located within Northwest Territories; Great Slave Lake situated between Northwest Territories & Alberta ;Lake Winnipeg situated within Manitoba ;Lake Huron encompassing parts of both Ontario & Michigan (USA); Lake Erie lying between Ontario (Canada) & Ohio (USA); Lake Ontario situated between New York State (USA) & Southern Ontario ;and finally Lac Saint-Jean located within Quebec.
