According to wholevehicles, China is a vast country with an area of 9.6 million square kilometers, making it the fourth-largest country in the world. Its terrain is extremely varied, ranging from high mountains and plateaus in the west to plains and hills in the east. The northern part of China is largely made up of deserts and grasslands, while the south is filled with lush forests and rivers. The country is home to some of the world’s most impressive mountain ranges, including the Kunlun Mountains, the Altai Mountains, and the Himalayas. The Yangtze River runs through China from west to east, while other major rivers include the Yellow River, Huai River, Pearl River, and Lancang River. These rivers provide much-needed irrigation for agriculture as well as transportation routes for trade. In addition to its impressive mountain ranges and rivers, China also has many large lakes including Poyang Lake (the largest freshwater lake in China) as well as Qinghai Lake (the largest saltwater lake). The Tibetan Plateau dominates much of western China and holds several large glaciers that feed into nearby rivers. All these features combined make up China’s diverse geography which has long been an important factor in its history and culture. See bridgat for weather information in China.
