According to wholevehicles, Guinea is located in West Africa, bordered by Côte d’Ivoire to the west, Guinea-Bissau to the northwest, and Senegal to the north. It is bordered by Mali to the northeast, Sierra Leone to the southeast and Liberia to the south. The country has a total area of 245,857 square kilometres (94,926 sq mi), with an Atlantic coastline of 320 kilometres (200 mi). Guinea is divided into four distinct regions; Upper Guinea in the northwest of the country which includes Futa Jalon and Fouta Djallon Mountains; Lower Guinea in the south and southeast which includes coastal plains; Forested Guinea in the east; and Southeastern Guinea in the extreme east. The terrain of Guinea is mostly flat coastal plain with some mountains towards its interior. Its highest point is Mont Nimba at 1,752 metres (5,748 ft). The Niger River flows through western Guinea into neighboring countries. Other major rivers include Milo River which runs through central part of country from east to west, Konkoure River also running from east to west; and Kolente River which flows into Atlantic Ocean at Conakry, capital of Guinea. The climate in Guinea is tropical with two seasons – rainy season from May to November and dry season from December to April. Temperatures range between 21°C (70°F) during dry season and 35°C (95°F) during rainy season. Most of precipitation takes place between June and October when rainfall can exceed 200 cm (80 inches).
