According to wholevehicles, India is a country of diverse geography, with mountains, plains, deserts and coastal areas. The Himalayan mountain range runs along India’s northern border and extends eastward into Bhutan and Nepal. These mountains are the highest in the world and form a natural boundary between India and its neighbors. To the south of these mountains lies the Indo-Gangetic Plain, which stretches from the Indus River in Pakistan to Bangladesh. This plain is one of India’s most fertile regions and is home to many major cities including Delhi and Kolkata. Further south lies the Deccan Plateau, an elevated plateau that covers most of central India. The plateau is bordered by two mountain ranges: The Eastern Ghats and Western Ghats. The Eastern Ghats run from West Bengal to Orissa while the Western Ghats run from Gujarat to Kerala, forming a natural barrier between the Deccan Plateau and coastal areas such as Goa or Karnataka. In addition to these landforms, India also has numerous rivers such as Ganges, Yamuna, Godavari etc., which provide water for irrigation as well as transportation of goods throughout the country. Finally, along India’s western coast lies an extensive coastline that provides access to some of its most beautiful beaches such as Goa or Kerala. The Indian landscape also includes several islands located off its coasts such as Andaman & Nicobar Islands in Bay of Bengal or Lakshadweep islands in Arabian Sea which are home to unique flora & fauna species found nowhere else on Earth. In addition to this rich landscape, India also boasts a variety of climates ranging from tropical monsoons in South India to cold alpine climate found in Ladakh region in the North due its varied topography. All these factors make it one of the most geographically diverse countries on Earth with something for everyone! See bridgat for weather information in India.
