According to wholevehicles, Kuwait is a small country located in the Middle East. It is bordered by Saudi Arabia to the south and Iraq to the north. The coastline of Kuwait is on the Persian Gulf, and it has an area of 17,818 square kilometers. The terrain of Kuwait consists mostly of flat desert plains with some low hills in the west and southwest. The northern part of Kuwait is mainly flat desert plains, while the southern part has mostly sand dunes. In addition, there are some salt marshes near Kuwait City, which is located on the coast. There are also several small islands off the coast of Kuwait that are part of its territory. The climate in Kuwait is generally hot and dry throughout most of the year with temperatures reaching up to 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit). Rainfall is scarce, averaging only about 4 inches per year. The country experiences high levels of humidity due to its proximity to the Persian Gulf. During winter months (December–February) temperatures can drop as low as 10 degrees Celsius (50 degrees Fahrenheit). Kuwait has a few natural resources such as oil and gas reserves which are a major contributor to its economy. Oil revenues account for nearly half of its gross domestic product (GDP) and make up 90% of exports earnings. Other resources include fish stocks in its territorial waters, some fishing rights off its coastline in international waters, and some timber from limited forests in mountainous areas near Iraq’s border with Kuwait. In terms of vegetation, there are limited plant species that can survive in such a hot climate due to high levels evaporation from salty soils; however, date palms grow well along with tamarind trees which provide shade for people living along coastal areas during summer months when temperatures can reach over 50 degrees Celsius (122 degrees Fahrenheit). There are also several species found only in Kuwait such as Euphorbia Cambessedesii and Ziziphus Spina-Christi which grow wild around sandy areas near beaches or salt marshes near Kuwait City.
