According to wholevehicles, Pakistan is a South Asian country located in the Indian subcontinent. It is bordered by Afghanistan and Iran to the west, India to the east, and China to the northeast. The Arabian Sea lies to its south. Pakistan’s geography is diverse, ranging from mountainous regions in the north and northwest, a vast alluvial plain in the east and southeast, deserts in the southwest and coastal areas along its Arabian Sea coastline. The northern highlands include some of the world’s highest mountain peaks such as Nanga Parbat (8126 meters) and K2 (8611 meters). These mountains form part of several mountain ranges including the Hindu Kush, Karakoram and Western Himalayas. The Indus River flows through these mountains providing irrigation for agricultural production. The Balochistan Plateau lies to the west of these mountains while further south lies Sindh province with its flat alluvial plain which receives seasonal floods from Indus River. To the south of Sindh lie Thar Desert which extends into Rajasthan province in India. Further east is Punjab province with its fertile agricultural landscape fed by five rivers flowing through it namely Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Beas and Sutlej Rivers. The northern region of Gilgit Baltistan is situated between two great mountain ranges – Karakoram Range on one side and Hindu Kush Range on other side. This region is home to some of most spectacular landscapes in Asia such as Deosai Plains at 4000 meters above sea level which are covered with wildflowers during spring season or Naltar Valley known for its beautiful pine forests and crystal clear lakes. The region also contains many glaciers such as Biafo Glacier which is about 60 kilometers long making it one of world’s longest glaciers outside Polar Regions.
