According to wholevehicles, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a large country located in the Middle East. It is bordered by Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Yemen. The country covers an area of approximately 2.15 million square kilometers and is the 13th largest country in the world. Its terrain consists mostly of desert with some mountains in the west and southwest. The landscape of Saudi Arabia is dominated by its vast deserts which cover more than 80% of the total land area. The largest desert is Rub’ al Khali, often referred to as “the Empty Quarter” due to its vastness and extreme temperatures during certain times of year which can reach up to 50°C (122°F). The desert also has a unique feature in that it contains several oases which provide water sources for local wildlife as well as some nomadic tribes that inhabit this region. The coastal regions of Saudi Arabia are generally flat and feature beaches along its Red Sea coast as well as its Persian Gulf coast. In terms of climate, Saudi Arabia experiences hot summers with temperatures reaching up to 50°C (122°F) in some parts while winters can be cold and wet especially in the mountains where snowfall occurs during winter months. In addition to this, sandstorms are common across much of the country during spring months due to strong winds from neighboring Iraq and Kuwait. Despite these extreme weather conditions, there are still areas that experience mild weather year-round such as Jeddah on the Red Sea coast which also serves as an important port city for trade with other countries in the region such as Egypt and Sudan.
